On August 12 at 5:00 PM, Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art will open “RUSHNYK. BODY,” a solo exhibition project by artist Olena Konohorova.

In her new project, the artist reinterprets one of the most powerful symbols of Ukrainian culture — the rushnyk, a traditional embroidered ritual cloth. Combining the traditional art of paper cutting (vytynanka) with metal, she creates works that speak about memory, the human body, fragility, and resilience.

“RUSHNYK. BODY” is an exhibition about the traces left by experience. About a body that remembers. About a tradition that continues to live, taking on new forms.

The Korsaks’ Museum Launches a New Grant Project – “Art for Everyone” Inclusive Educational Hub

Art has the power to educate and inspire, to bring people together, and to help us discover new solutions. That is why the Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art is launching the “Art for Everyone” Inclusive Educational Hub—a new space for learning, professional development, creative exploration, and social interaction.

The Hub’s first educational track, “Arts Management: From Idea to Event,” combines lectures with hands-on practical workshops.

Lecture Series: “Art Without Borders”

Participants will explore contemporary Ukrainian art and its major movements of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, discuss themes of freedom and responsibility, learn how the art market functions, and examine the roles of museums, galleries, collectors, copyright, and more.

Workshop: “From an Idea to Your Own Project”

The workshop will focus on developing project ideas, building concepts and value propositions, using AI and contemporary digital tools, exploring grant opportunities, and integrating principles of inclusion and accessibility. Participants will also learn from successful Ukrainian and international case studies, discuss common pitfalls and risks, and have the opportunity to develop the concept of their own project.

On July 31 at 5:00 PM, we invite you to the opening of “THE COLLECTOR’S CODE”, an exhibition presenting the private collection of Roman Yermolenko. The collection was shaped not by the rules of the art market, but through personal choice, emotion, and a profound inner connection with art.

The exhibition brings together works by Ukrainian artists of different generations — from twentieth-century masters to contemporary authors. It is a story not only about artworks, but also about the person who collected them over many years, guided not by status or investment value, but by a sincere emotional response.

Each work has its own story, and together they form a coherent portrait of a collector for whom art has become a way of understanding and experiencing the world.

On July 24, the Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art will open the large-scale exhibition project “Quo Vadis?” by Ukrainian nonconformist artists Serhii Druziaka and Serhii Lytvynov.

This exhibition raises one of the most important questions of our time: Quo Vadis?Where are you going? It is a question addressed not only to humanity as a whole, but to each of us individually.

For more than three decades, Serhii Druziaka and Serhii Lytvynov have worked as a creative duo, exploring memory, human vulnerability, responsibility, and the choices that shape the future of civilization. Their project brings together monumental paintings, watercolors, and a philosophical reflection on events that have changed the world.

The exhibition addresses the Chernobyl disaster, the Fukushima nuclear accident, the September 11 terrorist attacks, Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, and other events that compel us to rethink the fragility of human life and our responsibility for the future. At the same time, it leaves room for hope through the series “Faith. Hope. Love.”, which speaks of the resilience of the human spirit and the possibility of renewal.

“Quo Vadis?” will be presented on the third floor of the Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art and will be one of the museum’s largest exhibitions of the season.

On June 12 at 5:00 PM, the Korsaks’ Museum of Ukrainian Contemporary Art will host the opening of Gamlet Zinkivskyi’s exhibition project «365. Time Is Not Needed».

The project is a visual diary of a year.
365 drawings — 365 days observed, experienced, and documented by the artist throughout 2025.

The exhibition reflects on time not as an abstract concept, but as a lived experience shaped by memories, daily rituals, anxiety, encounters, losses, and brief moments of silence between events.

Gamlet Zinkivskyi is one of Ukraine’s most renowned contemporary artists whose practice combines street art, drawing, photography, collage, and text. His works have become an integral part of Kharkiv’s urban landscape, while his distinctive black-and-white visual language and concise observations have made his art recognizable far beyond Ukraine.
