On August 12 at 5:00 PM, Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art will open “RUSHNYK. BODY,” a solo exhibition project by artist Olena Konohorova.
In her new project, the artist reinterprets one of the most powerful symbols of Ukrainian culture — the rushnyk, a traditional embroidered ritual cloth. Combining the traditional art of paper cutting (vytynanka) with metal, she creates works that speak about memory, the human body, fragility, and resilience.
“RUSHNYK. BODY” is an exhibition about the traces left by experience. About a body that remembers. About a tradition that continues to live, taking on new forms.
