(Українська) КОСМОГОНІЯ

COSMOGONY

«Cosmogony» — this project illustrates the history of the development of the Universe, Earth, nature, humanity, society, culture, and science. It combines the bright and dark sides of the world: achievements, discoveries, insights, as well as conflicts, wars, and catastrophes. This project encourages the viewer to reflect on their own existence and mission in the world.

The uniqueness of the project

«Cosmogony» — this is a Ukrainian vision of the art of the future, unparalleled anywhere in the world. It embraces the entire history of the Universe, from the Big Bang to the present day, raising the questions: where did it all come from, and what comes next? Назва «Cosmogony» походить від грецького слова «народження» і вказує на процес створення всього сущого. Це діалог із глядачем про походження світу та його подальшу еволюцію.

The biggest painting in the world

As part of the project, there was created the biggest painting in the world — a painting measuring 2,086 m² (10 m high and about 200 m wide). The creative work lasted for almost two years, and now it has become part of... Korsaks` Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art in Lutsk.

Concept and Authors

Author of the idea and concept — Victor Korsak, artist — Petro AntypThe painting consists of over 600 fragments, organized into several thematic sections: The Beginning, Creation of the Earth, Creation of Nature, Creation of Humanity, Creation of Society, Noosphere, and The Future. Immersive perfomance "Cosmogony"

As part of the project, a unique immersive performance “Cosmogony” has been created, where light, sound, and art merge into a single rhythm. The performance is shown daily at the museum, and admission is included in the ticket. Immersive performance schedule: • Weekdays: 6:30 PM • Weekends: 4:00 PM

Integration of Art with the Production Process

The project is unique not only in its scale but also because the entire production process of the painting became part of the project itself. The museum in Lutsk has been transformed into a creative space where visitors can observe the painting being created. This allows art to be integrated into real production, providing a psycho-emotional experience for the audience.

Artistic Directions in the Project

The project combines various artistic directions:

  • Painting — a massive painting measuring 2,000 m².

  • Graphics — cosmogonic scenes depicted through contrasts of black and white.

  • Sculpture — weightless objects suspended in space.

  • Photo and Video Art — visualization of cosmogonic themes.

  • Light Art — installations that change depending on the viewing angle.

  • Sound Art — combining sounds with spatial and visual perception. — поєднання звуків з просторовим і візуальним сприйняттям.

  • Holography — creating dynamic art installations.

  • Virtual Reality — an interactive experience for the audience.

Philosophical Treatise by Viktor Korsak

Viktor Korsak wrote and published the philosophical treatise “Cosmogony of Good and Evil, or What Zarathustra Didn’t Know”.
