\u201cDefragmentation of Paradise\u201d \u2014 the second exhibition within the \u201cCOLLECTOR\u2019S CODE\u201d project at the Korsaks\u2019 Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On October 31 (Saturday) at 5:00 PM<\/strong>, we invite you to the opening of \u201cDefragmentation of Paradise,\u201d an exhibition featuring works from the private collection of the Grynyov family \u2014 a collection of Ukrainian art from the 20th and 21st centuries.<\/p>\n

The Grynyov family has been collecting Ukrainian art since the 1990s. Over the years, they have assembled a collection of approximately 5,000 works, reflecting the diversity of Ukraine\u2019s artistic landscape. It is not only a story of collecting art but also of a long-standing commitment to preserving and promoting Ukrainian cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefragmentation of Paradise\u201d is a reflection on loss, memory, and the human desire to rebuild one’s world after destruction. It explores the idea of home as something that no longer exists as we remember it, and the attempt to piece life back together from fragments of memories, images, and emotions.<\/p>\n

The exhibition brings together works by Ukrainian artists of different generations, in which images of the Garden of Eden, biblical narratives, and motifs of nature enter into dialogue with the realities of war. Together, they create a multifaceted story of a lost paradise \u2014 a space of harmony and safety to which returning is no longer possible.<\/p>\n

The history of the collection itself adds particular significance to the project. In 2022, Russian shelling of Kharkiv put thousands of artworks at risk of destruction. A significant part of the collection was successfully rescued and evacuated. Today, these works continue their journey, bearing witness not only to Ukraine\u2019s artistic heritage but also to the resilience of Ukrainian culture.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefragmentation of Paradise\u201d is a story about the possibility of creating a new reality even after losing a sense of wholeness \u2014 a reality in which beauty, memory, and hope coexist with pain.<\/p>\n
