It explores the human-animal relationship, pushing it beyond conventional perception.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"525\" data-end=\"612\">The animal is not a resource, not a function, not &#8220;mine.&#8221;<br data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"585\" \/><br \/>\nIt is the Other. Beside us.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"934\"><strong data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"639\">\u201cThe Other <em data-start=\"266\" data-end=\"290\">Nearby<\/em>\u201d<\/strong> is an exhibition about presence without possession.<br data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"694\" \/><br \/>\nAbout the Other who need not be conquered, domesticated to helplessness, adorned or trained into convenience.<br data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"806\" \/><br \/>\nAbout the animal as a personality: independent, capable of connection, emotion, and empathy \u2014 but not necessarily of submission.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"1117\">This exhibition is an attempt to look not <em data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"982\">at<\/em> the animal, but <em data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1005\">with<\/em> it.<br data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1012\" \/><br \/>\nNot through a human lens, but side by side.<br data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1058\" \/><br \/>\nNot \u201cwhat it is to us,\u201d but \u201cwho it is \u2014 in and of itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1144\"><strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1144\">Exhibition goals:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1423\">\n<li data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1231\">\n<p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1231\">To propose a new mode of thinking \u2014 not anthropocentric, but ethically coexistent.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1297\">\n<p data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1297\">To inspire a shift in perspective: from \u201cowner\u201d to \u201cpartner.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1423\">\n<p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1423\">To create an artistic and emotional space where the Other is not a threat, but an opportunity to become more fully oneself.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1425\" data-end=\"1638\">We invite artists to join the conversation about coexistence, care, freedom, respect, and empathy.<br data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1526\" \/><br \/>\nAbout the possibility of being together without ownership.<br data-start=\"1584\" data-end=\"1587\" \/><br \/>\nAbout another form of love \u2014 quiet, equal, present.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1640\" data-end=\"1643\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1645\" data-end=\"1664\"><strong data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1664\">Key themes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1665\" data-end=\"2055\">\n<li data-start=\"1665\" data-end=\"1780\">\n<p data-start=\"1667\" data-end=\"1780\"><strong data-start=\"1667\" data-end=\"1692\">The animal as witness<\/strong> \u2014 silent, deep, present in our sorrows, love, loneliness, wars, escapes, and returns.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1781\" data-end=\"1900\">\n<p data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"1900\"><strong data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"1804\">A reciprocal gaze<\/strong> \u2014 what does a cat see when it looks at a human? What does a dog feel when it hears our tears?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1901\" data-end=\"1971\">\n<p data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"1971\"><strong data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"1928\">Dignity without words<\/strong> \u2014 no need to speak to be worthy of love.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"2055\">\n<p data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2055\"><strong data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2001\">Equality in coexistence<\/strong> \u2014 not an object of care, but a subject of connection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2060\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2062\" data-end=\"2095\"><strong data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2095\">\u201cThe Other <em data-start=\"266\" data-end=\"290\">Nearby<\/em>\u201d is:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2543\">\n<li data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2183\">\n<p data-start=\"2098\" data-end=\"2183\">A new public space for reflecting on ethics in relationships between living beings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2322\">\n<p data-start=\"2186\" data-end=\"2322\">An attempt to reshape visual and social narratives where the animal appears not as an object but as an equal participant in the world.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2421\">\n<p data-start=\"2325\" data-end=\"2421\">A platform for dialogue between artists, philosophers,
